What should i bring?
Well payments open on the 25th this month and i have had some members of the community asking me what they should bring to the event. Well this thread is dedicated to me giving you advice one what you should bring and you guys to discuss.
Some of you might have to stay in Reading inbetween the event days or possibly the day before if you get down a day early. So bringing the simple essentials include;
- Toothbrush (don't want no horrible morning breath team mates)
- Spare clothes (Not necessary but you don't want people ripping you saying "He wore that yesterday!)
- Money for food (and accommodation ofc.)
Below is a list of things that you MUST bring, whether staying in Reading or not;
- A Playstation 3 system (Doesn't matter if its the slim edition.) incl. the Power Cable and a HDMI Cable.
- Call of duty Modern Warfare 2 disk.
- Official Playstation 3 Controller
- Playstation 3 USB cable for the controller. (Incase it runs out)
- Headset (Not needed but would boost your performance, see here for headset rules)
- Chewing gum (No smelly breath when giving out comms)
Re: What should i bring?
Chewing gum, haha. Makes good for our Fucapo sonsors.
Thanks for providing these.
What about the Free-Play things around the place?
What's already there? The NFS Racing Seats?
If there aint much more to use other than the tourmanents/our own consoles for tourney play.. it'd be good to have different games brought with you as well for a short break of playing the same game the whole day.
And Fifa is also there as a tournament, are ppl. supposed to bring their copy of Fifa and other possible LAN games with them?
Also
In case you drop out early of the tournament, wouldn't it be ideal to have pretty much brought your own games with you? I read there's a couch for gamers and probs some other stuff like this.. would be good if someone connects his PS3 to such a couch-spot and allows free-play with other gamers, although might become tricky with bitchy thiefes which I hope we aint getting one for this LAN. There's been a hand full of asswipes at XL before that stole posters and a copy of a game.
Anyway.. I suggest you put your name onto everything you bring to the LAN.

Re: What should i bring?
Only 2 copies of Fifa is needed through out the whole tournament as only 2 games at a time will be played.

Indeed, no point in wasting monitors on a game that can be played one one screen. Its better offline then online aswell.
Re: What should i bring?
Yeah, offline is better than online, unless LANing. Thought Fifa had LAN mode.
